Yacht Lift Malta plc Board of Directors
Capt. Daniel Gatt
Captain Gatt's extensive career in the yachting sector started when he was 17 years old, managing yachts. He quickly worked his way up the ranks and took full command of his first vessel two years later, aged 19.
As he continued to captain bigger and larger yachts, Capt. Gatt also worked on adding onto his qualifications. Over the years, Capt. Gatt has taken charge of high-profile charters throughout the Mediterranean. He has also organised and managed complete refits of several super yachts in local and overseas yards.
With this experience in hand, Capt. Gatt returned to Malta after 12 years out at sea and partnered up launch a yacht brokerage, charter and management company called Super Yachting Malta.
After two years of operations, he decided to diversify from Super Yachting Malta to set up, and run, Allure Yachting in partnership with Giuseppe Farrugia. Allure Yachting provides high profile yacht brokerage and charters as well as management and refit services.

Giuseppe Farrugia
At 16 years of age, Mr Farrugia started working at a barber's shop in London. He quickly got the hang of the business, after which he then returned to Malta where he set up and opened his own barber shop. This barber shop was one of the first that opened in Malta, setting the trend - and a successful example - for the hundreds of barber shops that eventually sprouted all over the island.
Mr Farrugia also branched out into the property business and, as part of his extensive portfolio, owns several successful establishments, including shops, bars and restaurants.
In 2015, he founded Wise Guys Boxing and Fitness Centre in Bugibba. In the span of six years, the business grew and expanded from two employees to 15 together with a membership that runs into the thousands.
Mr Farrugia has always had an interest in the boating and marine industry and, in 2017, set up Allure Yachting with Capt. Gatt. Together with Capt. Gatt, Mr Farrugia identified the need for alternative yacht lifting services in Malta and came up with the concept of the innovative idea of offering a floating lift platform through Yacht Lift Malta plc.
